Why Do I Have IBS? - The Most Common Causes of IBS Your Doctor Didn’t Tell You About!
By Ryan Shea RHN, CPT, DCC
Were you aware that the medical establishment is a sham as far as treating chronic illnesses, specifically those of the digestive system such as IBS. Were they properly trained in understanding food sensitivities and the balance of bacteria in the digestive tract they may have more insight into this very common problem affecting a huge amount of people. In this article I’ll answer the question “why do I have IBS” and I’ll go one step further to provide a solution to IBS you probably were not aware of.
So why do I have IBS?
There are many causes, however 2 make up for over 90% of IBS cases, they are food allergies and Candida albicans.
Food Allergies: Very commonly undiagnosed by medical professionals. Food allergies are well known to not always show up on blood tests and pin prick test, however they will affect the individual all the same. Your digestive tract is potentially the most sensitive part of your entire body with over 80% of all the histamine receptors in your body being located along it. This means if anything dis-agrees with you you’ll feel it, your body won’t let it slide so to speak.
Candida Albicans: This fungal yeast is in approximately 90% of the population, however not everyone is affected by it. The symptoms it can cause are extremely varied from chronic digestive problems to depression and anxiety. It is also a well known culprit in most cases of asthma and allergies. In fact one study indicated that over 85% of asthma patients tested had Candida overgrowths in their systems. As far as digestive problems go though it is almost always connected in some form, with IBS it is the most common reason for symptoms, and once the Candida overgrowth in the body is under control many symptoms experienced are reduced significantly or completely eliminated.
Whats better is that a natural Candida protocol will typically address and even eliminate most food allergies, so its safe to say that an IBS sufferer who attempts a Candida elimination protocol will feel much better and best of all not experience any further bloating.
