Here Are Three Simple Cures For Hemorrhoids That Even Some MD’s Recommend
By Benjamin Wise
Take several sitz baths a day. You can buy an inexpensive commercial bath from drugstores. This appliance fits over the toilet and includes a small hose connection to the water faucet to keep warm water running to the bath.
Alternatively, simply sit with your knees raised in a bathtub containing three to four inches of warm water.
For bleeding hemorrhoids, add to your diet some dark green leafy vegetables such as kale and spinach, alfalfa. Take a tablespoon of blackstrap molasses the first thing each morning.
The high vitamin K content of these foods increases prothrombin production, which helps blood clotting. Drink at least six to eight glasses of water a day to help soften stools, thus preventing more irritation while hemorrhoids are healing.
Use acupressure. This system often works as well as acupuncture, avoids needles and can be done at home. For hemorrhoids, locate these three target points on the body and press with fingers or knuckles. Start slowly and gradually increase pressure.
1. Directly behind the knee joint in the center of the crease. Press firmly here and hold for several minutes.
2. Below the coccyx (tail bone) and midway between it and the anus. Press gently here towards the anus and hold for two minutes. Repeat this once.
3. On the top of the head, at a point where two lines would cross. One line runs between the tops of the ears and the second from the top of the nose to the back of the skull.
Hopefully these three tips will help you get rid of those pesky hemorrhoids.
